Aaron Shipley is the President and Operations Manager for Ringer Well Service Ltd. He possesses over 30+ years experience in the oil & gas industry. Aaron left home at the age of 16 and began his career as a roughneck on a service rig. He quickly moved up through the ranks and worked extensively in Saskatchewan and Alberta. By 1992 he was a field supervisor for a large service rig company when he decided to pursue his own dream. His first service rig company had accelerated growth over a 3 year period. He negotiated the purchase, design & development of a fleet of rigs, pumping equipment & downhole handling equipment. By obtaining extensive field experience involving contract negotiations, equipment operations, employee recruitment and training he streamlined operations to a successful sale in 1997.
By 1998 he decided to expand his oilfield knowledge to the next level and started his own consulting company, A.M. Oilfield Contracting Ltd. He became a task oriented, problem solver, providing management and leadership of all field operations involving downhole workovers & completions, down hole stimulation with H20, hydrocarbons & LPG (propane), cementing, surface isolation, abandonments & fishing operations to 4500 meters and supervised drilling operations to 3500 meters. Gaining extensive knowledge in analyzing well data, frac & wire line reports and negotiating experience with government agencies & reporting systems, Aaron has provided consulting services on the national & international level. Through his experience he has become a creative problem solver who controls costs & minimizes risks while simultaneously driving desired results for bottom line profitability.
Again the service rig bug caught his attention and he partnered with his wife, Marnie, and took over the operation of Ringer Well Service Ltd. Aaron now provides leadership & management to all daily operations. He has a proven track record of excellence in profit & loss management, equipment acquisitions/dispositions and a vast knowledge of service rig operations, maintenance & regulatory requirements. Aaron maintains his hands on philosophy and partners with his workers to train and encourage an experienced staff.
